Rev. Gaye Lagana
I was born with three passions in life-God, dance, and healing. These three passions have been thematic for me as I developed deeper interest and skills in these areas and they have led my to where I am today. I received my BA from Penn State in English where I also danced in and choreographed musicals, achieving the recognition as a Thespian. I taught English and Elementary school where I focused on the development of young people in Education. Still, dance, movement and energy kept calling to me and I got a Master's degree in Movement Therapy from Immaculate Heart College. Doing this work I became familiar with the blocks in energy in people's lives and kept exploring ways to assist others in becoming more wholly functioning.
I studied metaphysics and saw new potentials for others in releasing themselves from negative programing. Doing my own personal work of inner development, I never forgot my relationship with the divine, and looked for ways to bring the relationship more in alignment with the work I was doing. I have studied spiritual direction and became certificated in 2004 from Gonzaga University.
I also felt called to be a formal witness to the power of God and love in the healing of people's lives and studied to become a Deacon in The Episcopal Church. I was ordained a deacon in June of 2008. Healing and pastoral care are a focus of my ministry. I have been a member of The Order of St. Luke, an international healing ministry, and led taught and developed the healing team in my congregation. When I found Dr. Meg's work, I signed up right away. I knew that Dr. Meg could teach me some about aspects of healing that the church currently does not teach especially in regards to the healing miracles of Jesus.
